Chapter 24 : Diamonds

When Adaora's father stepped out of the bedroom he wondered what would become of him and his family if his wife were to sign those papers, he did not come from a wealthy family like Adaora's mother.

When they were much younger he almost did not get married to Adaora's mother because of his family background, his father was a lecturer at the university him and Adaora's mother attended, they met and fell in love and decided to get married.

Adaora's father remembered Chief Adebayo that wicked man if only he could catch him for all the atrocities he has committed he thought all this to himself, but why was Chief Adebayo so callous he had his own money and a variety of companies he aquired illegally, why did he want Adaora's mother's assets, what could his wife be hiding from him.

Meanwhile Tonye had attended church service and was on his way back from church when his phone rang, it was Kenny, Tonye picked up the call and said "hello Kenny watsup" Kenny replied "your future wife has being abducted" Tonye was shocked to hear this he replied "Adaora abducted by who".

Kenny replied "i don't know am so unhappy right now" Tonye was aggravated he thought to himself who could have done this, he was going to find out and have the person dealt with.

 

Chapter 21 : Ice Cream

Aisha and Isabella were in the kitchen preparing lunch, when Isabella's iphone rang it was Chidi, Isabella said in a low tone "what does he want now, Aisha please excuse me" she picked up the call and said "hello what do you want again" Chidi laughed a bit and said "ice cream" Isabella said "what do you mean" Chidi then said "let's go get ice cream i would pick you up in an hour" with that he hung up the call.

Isabella said "hello hello" Isabella went back into the kitchen and said "Aisha i have to be somewhere now just cook i would eat it when i get back" Aisha replied "wait who got you this iphone and were are you going to" Isabella said "should i also get you anything" with that she hurriedly left the kitchen and went to get dressed.

Chidi arrived an hour later in his very nice car, he is early Isabella thought, she put on some lipgloss and headed towards Chidi's car, they arrived a very fancy ice cream shop at the much nicer parts of Benue they both got down from the car and headed to the ice cream shop.

Isabella picked the flavour she wanted so did Chidi they both proceeded to have a seat, Isabella really liked Chidi but Chidi was not reciprocating the feelings back, Isabella knew he was just using her to get what he wanted from his rich friends.

Chapter 23 : Search

The special agents and Adaora's father had arrived at the location where they thought Adaora was being held captive only to find nothing and no one in plain sight, Adaora's father said "what is really going on here where is she" the special agent replied "i don't know sir this is were the call" Adaora's father interrupted "were the call did what do you see anyone here".

It was obvious they had either moved location or they purposely placed the call there so they could not be traced, one of the detective's thought to himself and said "why don't you try the number again sir" Adaora's father was hesitant, he then agreed, they retrieved the number from their computer and dialed it on a mobile phone.

To there surprise it did not ring instead it said "the number you have dialed does not exist" one of the special agents said "these criminals are smart" the detective gave some orders and then said "we are treating this as a high profile abduction, let's go" with that they all left and headed straight to the mansion.

When they arrived the mansion, Adaora's father got out of his car and headed straight to the master bedroom he saw his wife and said in anger "you better start talking woman who was that on the call" Adaora's mother explained everything to Adaora's father regarding the papers she was meant to sign, Adaora's father could not believe his ears he was calm for a moment and then said "why did you not tell me all this was going on" he stepped out of the bedroom for a moment.

Chapter 20 : The Game

Aisha walked up to Isabella and said "i have told countless times to lock the door haven't i now look at it, you allowed those thieves come in here" Isabella wiped her eyes once again and said "how did i" she was interrupted by Aisha who said in anger "Isabella by not locking the door with the key i gave you" this was the least of Isabella's problems but she replied and said "Aisha i am very sorry it would not happen again".

Aisha looked at Isabella with so much anger and said "of cause it won't happen again i want you out of my place tomorrow morning" Isabella went to beg Aisha but she said "no please just leave". The next day when Aisha left for her early morning class, Isabella hurriedly went to purchase a brand new television set and a very nice sofa.

When Aisha got back in the afternoon she was so surprised to see a brand new television set and a nice sofa at her place, Isabella then walked towards Aisha and said "i am sorry please Aisha now" Aisha then said "were did get the money to buy all these things".

Isabella was thinking of a lie she then said "em my distant uncle sent me the money so i used it to get all of these" Aisha then said "your uncle but you did not have to replace all that was stolen" Isabella then replied "i had too Aisha please am sorry" Aisha forgave her and said "its okay you can stay" Isabella was so pleased to hear that.

Chapter 22 : Where Are You

Kenny stood up with so much rage in him and said "mom i mean it don't sign those papers we could loose everything" his mother replied "but your sister could be" Kenny interrupted his mother "there could be another way out of this" his mother looked at him with tears in her eyes and said "Chief Adebayo is a wicked man, i don't know what to do".

Kenny took his mother's hand and held it firmly he said "mom there is always a way out trust me" with that he hugged his mother and took her to her room.

Samantha drove slowly so deep into the woods not stopping for anything or anyone in her yellowish hummer suv, she arrived at a house, parked her car and stepped out, she then walked quietly into the house and said "were is she" to one of the goons, he pointed towards a red door, she walked towards the door and opened it, she looked at Adaora with so much disdain, she practically hated Adaora and her family.

Samantha spoke "well well well what do we have here is it little miss Adaora" Adaora was even more surprised she said "Samantha your are in on this too" Samantha was Chief Adebayo's daughter, she was a high level executive at her one of her father's companies, Samantha was just as bad as her father Chief Adebayo who had aquired all his companies though illegal ways.

Chapter 19 : My Money

She immediately put the one she had changed into naira underneath the bed again, and let out a loud scream, she ran outside and shouted "thieves thieves thieves oh" the other girls that lived in the vicinity came running towards her they said "what happened Isabella were are the thieves" Isabella said while crying "they came they took the chairs and the television" one of the girls reluctantly asked "Isabella did you lock the door with a key" Isabella was quiet, the girls all looked at each other, hissed and left a crying Isabella.

A few minutes later her iphone rang it was Chidi, she wiped her eyes and said "hello" Chidi laughed at the other side of the line and said "why are crying" Isabella was shocked she said "how did you know i was crying" Chidi then said "i have collected my own share of the money Jubril gave you okay, next time don't keep it all to yourself" with that he hung up the call.

Isabella let out another loud scream while hitting the ground a couple of times, she went to the room and sat on the bed a lot was going through her mind then Aisha walked in and said "what happened here, were is the television were are the chairs" she then walked into the bedroom and met Isabella.

Chapter 21 : The Location

Adaora's father was confused, what was going on, who did his wife speak to on the phone, he said "woman you better talk now who was that" Adaora's mother was perplexed she said "he said i should sign the papers oh" with her hands on her head still crying, Adaora's father was annoyed he thought it was one of those cheap contractors, he said "sign what papers".

One of the special agents walked in on Adaora's mother and father and said "we have her location" Adaora's father immediately said "okay i would come with you" the special agent spoke "no it might be dangerous" Adaora's father was so angry he said "we are talking about my daughter here please let's go" with that they both walked out of the mansion's home office leaving Adaora's mother in tears.

Kenny went to comfort his mother he had heard the conversation between his father and mother he said "mom what is actually going on sign what papers" his mother lifted her head and said "we are in trouble my son oh" Kenny was also confused what did his mother mean, he said "how what trouble".

His mother began explaining things to him and what was to come in the near future, Kenny was surprised all their wealth was about to be taken away from them, their assets, cars, mansions and even their corporations, Kenny was not having it he said "no mom don't sign the papers i don't care just don't.
