Chapter 43 : Settlement

Before Kenny left his mother's master bedroom he looked at her with a smile on his face and said "i hope you would not be attending that annual gala filled with unhappy women" his mother smiled and threw a pillow at him, she said "go away you naughty boy" Kenny was so happy to see a smile on his mother's beautiful face he said "okay okay" he closed the door quietly and left to go see Belinda.

Choi the stranger who tackled Samantha at Adaora's welcome home party was being questioned by the police at their headquarters they were clearly not impressed by his heroic behaviour at the party one of the cops said "why play the hero what if you got shot by that woman" Choi replied with arrogance "i hardly think so i went from behind moreover she was" he was interrupted by another cop "moreover she was what, please leave here and don't do that again".

A few moments after they let Choi go he headed to Joanne's hiding place, he stormed in and said "i need my balance now" Joanne refused to give him the balance of his money instead she said "what balance you were meant to follow her every were not play the hero at her party" with that Choi left in anger and banged the door behind him.

Chapter 39 : Three Cars

Mike then said "i have one more surprise for you" he picked up his phone and made a call, a few minutes later three continental prado Suv in different colours drove into the drive way, Isabella looked at Mike, Mike then said "you don't have to pick one they are all yours" Isabella screamed again and almost fell to the ground she was so excited she said "Mike you are the best" Mike then led the way into the duplex.

He showed Isabella around the duplex and said to her "are you moving in now or" Isabella nicely interrupted him and said "yes i am moving in now can i go get the rest of my stuff from Aisha's place" Mike said to her "yes you can on one condition" Isabella looked at him and said "what Mike" Mike then said "you take one of your new cars" Isabella jumped in excitement again and said "okay don't leave i mean i would soon be back" she got into one of her cars and the driver drove away.

When they arrived Aisha's place, Isabella wondered how she was going to tell Aisha about her moving into a new duplex, she can move in with me she thought to herself, Isabella opened the door to her surprise she Aisha and Chidi Kissing.

Chapter 42 : Vote

The head of the annual gala planning committee Teressa was not having it she snapped her fingers and said "lets put it to a vote all in favour of not having the annual gala here raise your hands" most of the women raised their hands, she counted all of them with excitement, then she said "if you want our prestigious annual gala to be held here raise your hands" only two women sluggishly raised their hands out of pity.

Teressa was a mean girl she liked the fact that she was in control she said "its settled we would have the annual gala at my mansion" with a devilish smile on her face, with that they all walked out of the mansion and headed towards their exotic cars. 

But one of the women who voted out of pity quickly went to meet Adaora's mother and said "we are so sorry but its for the best interest of the annual gala i would come and see you later my dear" with that she hugged Adaora's mother and hurriedly left.

Kenny came down the stairs and saw in his mother in tears he said "why are you crying again what is it this time mom" his mother replied "they are not having the annual gala here they are having it at that awful Teressa's mansion" Kenny replied "mom don't worry there would be other" his mother interrupted him and said "Kenny other what if not for your sister's abduction all this would not be happening my social life is ruined" Kenny replied he said "mom don't say that those women do know your worth now stop crying" with that he took his mother to her master bedroom.

Chapter 38 : Duplex

They next day Mike and Isabella explored Monte Carlo they went on a cruise in his Yacht, had lunch in a fancy resturant and did some more designer shopping for the usual clothes, shoes and handbags money was nothing to Mike for a week in Monte Carlo he spent a few thousand euros here and there on Isabella, for once she felt like she belonged.

When they were back in Nigeria, Mike's driver came to pick them up from the airport, Mike said to his driver "to the new duplex" his driver replied with a "yes sir" they headed towards the nicer parts of Benue they finally arrived an amazing street filled with beautiful duplexes, Isabella wondered why they were here but she did not ask.

The driver finally arrived at one of the duplex, Mike made a call and the gates opened, when they got down from the car Isabella just stood there admiring the edifice, two maids came out to greet Mike and Isabella, Mike then said "Isabella do you like this duplex, Isabella nodded her head she said "yes Mike" Mike brought out the keys to the duplex and said "because its yours" Isabella screamed out loud this time she coud not contain her excitement, Mike dropped the key in her hands, Isabella was even more excited she jumped up and down and then proceeded to hug Mike.

Chapter 41 : Annual Gala

Adaora's father quietly walked in on them and said "goodafternoon sir how are" he was interrupted by Adaora's grandfather who said "i do not need your pleasantries where were you when all this was happening you better count yourself lucky nothing happened to my grand daughter" Adaora's mother spoke "daddy why are talking to my husband like that i don't like it" Adaora's grandfather replied "why won't i, please out of my way you two" with that he proceeded to the mansion's guest room.

The annual gala planning committee arrived the mansion in their exotic cars they were middle aged glamorous women they looked so shiny in their expensive designer clothes, they all walked into the mansion, they were seated in the grand living room waiting for Adaora's mother.

When Adaora's mother came down the stairs to the living room she also looked so shiny and glamorous in her dolce and gabbana dress, she gave the ladies air kisses on both cheeks and sat down, the head of the annual gala planning committee stood up with poise her name was Teressa.

Teressa had a lot on her mind she spoke to Adaora's mother in a rude but calm tone "a lot has being happening in this mansion from abductions to shots being fired in the air to the cops crawling everywere i don't think our prestigious annual gala should be held here" Adaora's mother stood up in anger and said "why Teressa, why are you saying all this you know the annual gala" she was interrupted by Teressa who said "i know it has being held in your home for years but with the recent events going on i do not feel comfortable here" some of the women from the annual gala planning committee said "yes your right".

Chapter 37 : The Hotel

Mike and Isabella walked into the hotel room suit, Isabella was amazed by how massive the room was she immediately went to hug Mike again and then she proceeded to go have her shower in the gold  bathroom, Mike went to join her but they did not have sex, Isabella wondered why Mike had never touched her not even a kiss on the lips.

When they got out of the shower they put on their bath robes and Mike said to Isabella "should i order room service" Isabella was only used to having sex in a hotel and they usually threw her out when they were done so she did not know what room service was she said "Mike what is room service" Mike looked at her and said "do you want to eat anything like have breakfast with me" Isabella was so happy she said "yes order room service" with that Mike did order a whole lot because he planned on staying in with his girl Isabella.

When they were done eating Isabella went to put on her clothes she really liked Mike and the way he treated her, she went to Mike to kiss him on his lips but Mike held her and said "i can't have sex with you" Isabella was a bit annoyed she said "why Mike i thought you like me" Mike then said "i would tell you why when we get back to Nigeria" Isabella said "okay" with that she went to lay on the bed alone.

Chapter 40 : Grandfather

Kenny was fond of his grandfather so was Adaora, they saw their grandfather and immediately went to give him a big hug, they were like babies around there grandfather Kenny spoke "grandad what are you doing here" his grandfather replied "well i heard what happened and i decided to come see my grand kids" he looked at Adaora and said "my angel how are you i hope they did not hurt" Adaora quickly interrupted him with a smile and said "grandad no i was saved at the nick of time".

Her grandfather felt a little relieved he then asked "by who my angel" Adaora replied "by my prince charming Tonye" Kenny was surprised he said "oh his your prince charming now i thought you didn't" he was then interrupted by his mother who said "who do we have here, daddy you did not tell me you were coming" Adaora's grandfather replied "do i need an invitation to come see my grand kids".

Adaora's mother said with a smile on her face "daddy you won't seize to amaze me" Adaora's grandfather replied "were was that your husband when all this was happening at the country club i presume gossiping with his friends" Adaora's grandfather did not really like Adaora's father, he felt his daughter married a goldigger, she could have married a man from a wealthy background just like she, but she would not, instead she married for love.

Chapter 36 : The Trip

After a week, Isabella packed her designer clothes into her bags, she was waiting on Mike to come pick her up so they could head to the airport, Mike then arrived with his driver in a very luxurious Suv, the driver went to Isabella, took her bags and put it in the booth of the Suv, Isabella kissed Mike on the cheek as usual and they drove away.

They arrived a private airport, their bags were being checked in by the concierge, Mike then said to Isabella "i have a surprise for you" Mike pulled out Isabella's green passport, Isabella almost screamed she said "my very own passport thank you so much" with that they proceeded to board his private jet.

Isabella had also never being on a private jet, so she she sat down on the soft leather seat while staring at the beautiful air hostess who brought her a glass of champagne, Isabella took the glass and said "thank you" Mike came and sat down beside her and said "your first time flying" Isabella said "yes Mike" he then placed his hand on her hand and said "don't be nervous am here" Isabella was so relieved.

Early the next day, they arrived a private airport in Monte Carlo, their bags were being put in a luxury Suv, Isabella and Mike entered the car and the driver took them to their hotel, when Isabella got out of the car, she could not believe she was in another country staying in a grand hotel, were only the wealthiest people of the world stayed, she thought to herself my nightmares are over.

Chapter 39 : Why Come Here

Samantha's hands were shaking while she was pointing the pistol at the security man, she was immediately tackled from behind by a stranger at the party the pistol fell to the ground and she was obviously subdued.

The security men came running towards a yelling Samantha to arrest her they also called the cops that were on their way, Kenny went towards Samantha and said "why did you come here, why embarrass yourself like this after all you did i am done with you" Samantha was handcuffed and was being taken way, she saw Adaora and her mother and let a loud scream she said "i would get you Adaora" Adaora and her mother were frightened.

The party was obviously over everyone went home Adaora also explained to her mother and father that Samantha was part of the people that abducted her, her father was furious he said "children of these days she's just as bad as her father chief Adebayo" Kenny wondered how he dated a woman like awful Samantha, he never loved her, she was always very controlling.

The next day Adaora's grandfather from her mother's side arrived the mansion, his expensive luggages were being taken into the guest room, he had just come back after vacationing in Mexico with his young wife, he got home they told him what had happened and he decided to come see Adaora and Kenny.

Chapter 35 : Monte Carlo

The waiter brought the champagne, poured it into their glass and left to get the meal, while they were sipping their drinks Mike asked Isabella if she liked the restaurant, Isabella said "yes i do is really nice" Mike held her hand and said "Isabella i like you a lot would you like to come to Monte Carlo with me" Isabella was surprised she was about to give him an answer then their meals arrived.

The waiter gently placed the meals on expensive plates in front of them and said "enjoy" he then left, Isabella just used a spoon to eat she was not used to this fancy lifestyle, Mike then asked again "would you come to Monte Carlo with me" Isabella thought about it for a minute and said "yes, when do we leave" Mike was excited he said "is next week to far" Isabella said "no next week is fine but i don't have a passport" Mike then said "don't worry i would handle that okay, do you like the meal" Isabella said "yes i do its so sumptuous".

Isabella had never being outside the country she was so excited, during the week Mike and Isabella had also gone luxury shopping for designer clothes, Isabella was now a proud owner of chanel and other designer clothes, shoes and bags he got for her.

Chapter 38 : Stranger

Samantha walked past the grand foyer and into the garden were the celebration was being held, she stood in the middle of everyone and immediately pulled out the pistol from her purse and fired three shots in the air, everyone was scared they quickly ran for cover.

One of the security men came towards Samantha with a rifle and said "put down the pistol" Samantha was not having it she pointed the pistol at the security man and said "stupid fools were is Adaora" the security man ordered her to put down her pistol again, Samantha was so angry she fired another shot in the air and said "if you do not produce Adaora you would be held accountable for what happens next" the security man put down his rifle and said "okay okay just calm down".

Adaora and her mother were in the wine cellar, they did not hear the shots being fired in the air, when they came out they wondered why every were was so quiet, they were about to proceed to the garden when one of the maids came from no were and said "madam don't go to the garden there is a manic out there" Adaora and her mother were very surprised Adaora asked "what manic" the maid replied "there is a young woman with a pistol firing shots in the air" Adaora and her mother were scared they quickly ran back to the wine cellar.

Chapter 34 : I Knew It

Mike went to Chidi and said "i would be dopping of Isabella at her place don't wait up" with that Mike and Isabella left Chidi's condo, Isabella gave Mike the address to Aisha's place, he put it on the GPS of his nice car and they were on their way, when they arrived Aisha's place Mike said "your place isn't bad but i can get you something nicer" Isabella smiled and said "i stay here with my friend Aisha she's being so nice to to me" Mike smiled and said "okay" Isabella hugged Mike once again and she got down from the car.

The next evening Mike arrived Aisha's place a bit early, Isabella put on her new shoes and her new dress and she headed out the door, when she got to the car, she opened the door, entered the car and closed the door, Mike kissed her on the cheek, he started the engine and they drove away.

They arrived a very fancy resturant, Isabella had only seen in the magazines, she could not believe her eyes, this place is so glamorous she thought to herself, they went in the restaurant they were shown their table and they both sat down, when the menu came Isabella could not understand anything on it, so Mike smiled and said "should i place an order for you" Isabella said "yes please" Mike ordered a meal and told the waiter "also bring us your finest bottle of champagne", the waiter said "yes sir" and he left.

Chapter 37 : Celebration

Samantha was really pacing back and forth with a glass of whisky in her hand, she decided to turn on the television, the news was on to her surprise she saw her father being handcuffed and taken away by the cops at the airport, she screamed so loud and threw the glass of whisky to the ground the glass shattered into tiny little pieces.

Meanwhile at the mansion Adaora's parents decided to throw her a welcome home party it was a big celebration so many dignitaries were in attendance, nice music was playing, there was a lot to eat and so much to drink, while all this was going on Adaora pulled her mother to side took to the wine cellar and asked her "when were you going to tell me you had another daughter aside me" her mother was so shocked with tears in her eyes she said "how did you find out". 

Samantha also got an invitation to Adaora's welcome home party, she was furious and decided to attend with a pistol in her purse, when she arrived the mansion she got out of her maserati and went towards the entrance she showed her invite and they let her in, one of the security men alerted the others by saying "we have trouble".

Chapter 33 : Dinner Date

Mike was so handsome he also came from a very wealthy family like Chidi, but Mike was way nicer and caring Isabella was so happy for once in her life, then Mike did the unthinkable he asked Isabella for her account number Isabella gave it to him, he sent her two million dollars, Isabella got a ding on her phone and checked it she saw the large amount she put her hand over her mouth in surprise.

Isabella was even more happy she gave Mike a hug then Mike said "i gave you that sum so you would stop doing this and be my girl" Isabella looked at Mike and said "i can't i mean they would harm me" Mike then said "who would harm you" Isabella was scared she said "i can't tell you" Mike then said "how about dinner tomorrow night" Isabella had a thought what was this man up to, first he would not sleep with her, gave her a large sum of money and now he his asking her out on a dinner date.

Isabella then said with a smile on her face "yes i would go on a dinner date with you can we leave now is getting too hot in here" Mike laughed and said "yes we can" he unlocked the door and they stepped out.

Chapter 36 : Welcome Home

Tonye started the engine to his red ferrari with Adaora in the passenger's sit Tonye looked at a slightly nervous Adaora held her hand and asked "are you ready to go home" Adaora was a bit hesitant she said "not really after all i have seen and heard in the past forty eight hours am not sure" Tonye replied "its alright i am so sure your parents would be happy to see their precious daughter" and he smiled at Adaora.

They arrived the mansion went in through the main gate, Tonye packed his red ferrari, he opened the door for Adaora, she got out of the car they both held hands and headed straight to the mansion, Kenny was the first to sight both of them he was surprised he screamed "Adaora, my sister is back" the detectives and the special agents were shocked likewise Adaora's mother and father, Kenny went to hug his sister, Adaora smiled and hugged him back.

Adaora's mother looked at her and said "my lovely daughter you are back, she proceeded to give Adaora a hug but Adaora was reluctant, Adaora's father was so excited he said "my daughter how did you escape from that evil man" Adaora replied "i did not i was rescued" her father said "by who" Adaora replied "Tonye here sent some men to save me" Adaora"s father gave Tonye a firm hand shake and said "thank you my son thank you".

Chapter 32 : His So Caring

About an hour later the escalade came to pick Isabella up from Aisha's place, she got in the car and the driver drove away, on the drive to Chidi's condo Isabella wondered why she was meeting a client at Chidi's condo she had never met a client there, what was he up to, they soon arrived the condo, Isabella got out of the car and headed towards the elevator, the concierge greeted her and she answered.

When she arrived, she knocked on Chidi's door, he opened the door she entered, she also saw Lauren and another handsome man, Chidi then introduced Isabella to Mike, his friend Mike looked at Isabella and smiled he said "wow you are so pretty" Chidi then said "enough of this let's get on with it" Mike said "i want just Isabella with me tonight".

Chidi was so surprised he said "but you wanted two" Mike then said "i know i said i wanted two but i have changed my mind just Isabella please" with that Mike and Isabella went into the guestroom, Mike was locking the door while Isabella was taking of her clothes Mike then looked at her and said "what are you doing i just want to talk i would still pay you" Isabella was shocked none of them ever wanted to talk so she thought to herself, she put her clothes back on and sat on the bed, they talked and laughed for hours they even exchanged numbers.

Chapter 35 : Airport

While Chief Adebayo was on his way out Samantha his daughter ran up to him and said "why are your bags packed were are you of too" Chief Adebayo said "i don't have time for this were is that stupid driver" Samantha was confused she said in anger "Dad i am talking to you what is going on".

Chief Adebayo was in a hurry he beckoned on his driver, when his driver went to meet him he gave him a slap to the face and said "you idiot where were you come and take me to the airport now" his driver held his face after receiveing a hot slap and said "yes Chief" Chief Adebayo threw his bags into the trunk of the car and entered the car, Samantha came running towards them Chief Adebayo said to his driver "if you stop this car you would get fired" his driver drove of.

A lot was going though Chief Adebayo's mind, but it was too late for him to have a rethink of all his evil atrocities, they arrived the airport twenty minutes later, Chief Adebayo immediately got out of his car and told his driver to bring out his bags, his driver did as instructed and then said "should i check it in for you Chief" Chief Adebayo replied in an angry tone "no don't i would do it myself just take the car home" his driver obliged and drove of. 

There were so many cops outside the airport entrance, Chief Adebayo was about to enter the airport when one of the cops said to him "stop right there, were to Chief Adebayo, anyways you are under arrest" they handcuffed him, read him his rights and took him away.

Chapter 31 : Being Watched

Ming explained to Isabella why she needed to work with the cops she said "its for your own protection my dear you might even be watched as we speak" Isabella was even more scared but she agreed, Ming then said "i would give you a call later to tell you whom to meet for your protection" with that they hugged and went their separate ways.

Meanwhile Isabella was actually being watched by some men from the elite pact one of them dialed Jeffery's number and said "boss we have a huge problem" Jeffrey sat up and said "what kind of  problem" the man said "that girl Isabella has being talking to some journalist she might have told her everything and what we do" Jeffrey said "what just keep an eye on her follow her everywhere do you get me" with that he hung up the call.

Isabella arrived Aisha's place she sat on the bed and thought out loud to herself "what have i gotten my self into because of money now look at it, i should not have signed that paper i should have just concentrated on my studies instead i wanted to mingle with rich people" she then lay on the bed.

A few minutes later her phone rang it was Chidi she ignored the call at first then decided to answer she said "hello what is it" Chidi said "hey don't speak to me like that i have a client for you i would send a car to pick you up and bring you to my condo" Isabella said "not at the private hotel" Chidi said "no not at the hotel at my condo" with that he hung up the call.

Chapter 34 : Were To

Adaora woke up the next morning no longer in shock, she was feeling so refreshed, Tonye walked in on her stretching with breakfast on a tray in his hands he said "goodmorning miss sunshine how are you feeling" with a smile on his face, Adaora reciprocated the smile and said "i feel better but what if Chief Adebayo and his goons come looking for me i" Tonye interrupted her nicely by saying "why would he, his probably shaking in his boots right now he committed a huge crime by abducting you" he then kissed Adaora on the forehead and said "i really like you a lot and i would not let any harm come to you now eat up" Adaora was surprised she said "Tonye you like me" Tonye replied "yes i do".

Chief Adebayo got to his house hurriedly packed a few things and called his travel agent, when the travel agent picked up she said "hello chief" Chief Adebayo replied "i need a one way business class ticket to Brussels" his travel agent was surprised she said "Chief why Brussels i thought" Chief Adebayo interrupted her and said "why are you asking me all these questions just get me the ticket" with that he hung the call.

Unknown to Chief Adebayo his travel agent was an undercover cop she had being sent to investigate Chief Adebayo after a series of hostile takeovers, and his ways were questionable, she immediately placed a call to the headquarters the phone rang and someone picked up she said "chief Adebayo is on his way to Brussels his trying to flee the country" the cop on the other line replied "we are going to get him at the airport" with that she hung up the call.

Chapter 30 : Tell Me Everything

Isabella made a decision, she was going to meet with the journalist and tell her everything, Isabella dialed Ming's number, Ming picked up the call and said "hello have you made up your mind to speak to me" Isabella said "yes i would tell you everything when i see you" Isabella picked the time and a discreet location, with that she hung up the call.

When Isabella arrived the location she sat down on one of the chairs then a beautiful slender woman approached her and said "are you Isabella" Isabella said "yes who is asking" the woman then said "i am Ming the journalist" Isabella was relieved she said "thanks for meeting with me can we start".

Ming looked at Isabella who had bruises on her arm and said "did they do this to you" Isabella replied "i said i was going to tell you everything didn't i" Ming then brought a tape recorder, a book and a pen, Ming then said "you may proceed my dear" Isabella told her everything in details from how she met Chidi to how she went to a party and signed a paper to how she started sleeping with rich men and women for money, Ming was not so surprised she said "you would need protection from these people because when this news comes out you would be a target". Isabella was scared she said "what you did not tell me all this over the phone".
