Chapter 16 : Guess Who

Kenny was in his thoughts, his phone rang again he was not willing to answer he looked at the screen it was Belinda, he picked up the call "hello Belinda" Belinda was so anxious she spoke "hello hello kenny i heard what happened how are you holding up" Kenny replied "what can i say she is missing my sister is missing" Belinda said "i am coming over".

Kenny was not in any mood he said "you don't have too" Belinda said "i am coming over now" Belinda arrived the mansion an hour later, she was denied entry by one of the special agents then Kenny said "you can let her in she's Adaora's best friend she might know something" they let her in, she gave Kenny a big hug and proceeded to kiss him on the lips, Kenny shoved her aside and whispered "not here woman".

They went into the mansion, Belinda took a seat in the mansion's home office not knowing what to expect, Kenny had never done that to her, he must really be devastated, Belinda and Kenny had always being in love with each other, Belinda replied "why did you push me aside" Kenny replied in anger "i did not push you, can't you see we have a situation, we can not be doing that, especially not here".

A few moments later Adaora's father drove into the mansion through the main gates, he stepped out of his Rolls Royce phantom looking agitated, he was on the golf course playing with old friends when he got a call that his daughter was missing.

Chapter 13 : Rich People

So this were the rich ones stay Isabella thought to herself, the door man opened the door for her she walked in, the concierge at the front desk said "here to see Mr Chidi i presume" Isabella nodded her head while admiring the condo's lobby, there was even a beautiful water fountain in the lobby, Isabella went towards the fountain to have a closer look, she even tried to touch it but was immediately stopped by the concierge who politely said "please don't touch that".

They proceeded to the elevator the concierge pressed the number twenty, the doors closed and the elevator took Isabella to the floor were Chidi lived, when the doors opened she saw Chidi who was waiting in the hallway for her, she stepped out of the elevator, she was so excited to see Chidi once again.

Chidi led the way, he opened the door and Isabella walked in she had never seen so many expensive things in one place, this guy must be really rich she thought to herself once again, unknown to Isabella Chidi actually came from a wealthy family, his parents owned a ton of oil blocks around the world even an oil rig they were really affluent, they had the nicest things money could buy such as cars, yachts, mansions even horses but Chidi was not good news.

Chapter 15 : Questions

Meanwhile Adaora's driver was being questioned by a detective at the mansion, Adaora's mother was not having it, she walked up to the driver with anger on her mind she hit him and spoke with tears rolling down her eyes "where is my daughter you idiot" one of the female special agents pulled her aside.

Adaora's mother said "why are you pulling me away you she be arresting this stupid driver" she wanted to hit him again the female agent pulled her aside again and said "you need to calm down ma or else" Adaora's mother interrupted "or else what".

Adaora's mother was so angry at every one, she spoke "i am giving you all forty eight hours to find my daughter, or else you all would be fired" she had this horrific look in her eyes, Kenny came along and said "mom you need to rest your a bit tired come" she followed her son, Kenny was so angry as well but did not show it in his expressions.

He gently tucked his mother into bed, closed the door quietly and thought to himself, who could be doing this to them, or could this be one of Adaora's tricks, but she was not known to trick anyone, she was annoying sometimes but she was his sister. He was so sad, he almost broke into tears.

Chapter 12 : The Gift

Isabella wondered why the delivery man was dressed in a suit holding the package, this must be an expensive gift she thought to herself, the delivery man then said "this is for you i would be waiting for you in the car" with that he headed towards the car, all the girls leaving in that vicinity came out to see the escalade packed in front of Aisha's place.

Isabella immediately went into the bedroom with the gift to see what it was, when she opened the package, their was another huge gift box, she then  opened it she saw the most beautiful dress and a note beside it which read "wear this and meet me tonight" Isabella was so happy, she immediately went to have her bath, put on the beautiful dress and went to meet the delivery man, everyone was staring at Isabella they even whispered amongst each other, Isabella ignored them and entered the escalade and the delivery man drove away.

When they arrived at the destination the delivery man who was actually a driver in a suit got out of the car and proceeded to open the door for Isabella, she stepped out of the car and she was so amazed by what she saw, a beautiful condominium, she had never been to this part of Benue in her whole life. 

Chapter 14 : Where Is She

Adaora's mother looked into the eyes of Adaora's driver and said with a loud voice "where is my daughter" the driver replied "i do not know ma please" Adaora's mother was about to lift her hand when kenny walked into the mansion he said "mom don't he probably does not know" he was calm but anxious at the same time.

A few moments later the mansion was filled with private agents they had thought the worse maybe she had being kidnapped, they were all waiting for a ransom call or something, Adaora's mother felt a little bit guilty, tears rolled down her eyes.

Kenny's phone rang it was Samantha, Kenny's girlfriend he answered the call not willing to talk "hey babe watsup" she replied with anger in her voice "were have you being you have not called me in two days now" Kenny replied saying "that's because i have being busy" samantha replied "too busy to call me, your girlfriend".

Kenny was agitated he said "look my sister Adaora is missing i don't have time for this" Samantha was shocked she said "wait what i thought" with that Kenny hung up the call, he could not be bothered by Samantha's rant.

Chapter 11 : The New Girl

Isabella immediately went to hug him and she also kissed him on the cheek and said "thank you so much i finally have a phone" Chidi looked at her and said "excuse me" Isabella thought Chidi was going to take the phone back because of what she had said, instead Chidi said "you now have the latest custom made iphone open it and look at the back".

Isabella did as Chidi had requested and she looked at the back it said "take care of me don't spoil me" Isabella smiled a bit and said "thank you so much how do i" Chidi interrupted her and said "its okay just don't spoil this one" Isabella jumped up and down and said "no i won't oh" with that Chidi gave her a hug and left.

Isabella could not stop admiring her new phone, it had also being setup for her, suddenly the phone rang and she answered, it was Chidi he said "by the way this is my number you can always call me i also sent you a gift it would arrive at your door step any moment from now", with that he hung up the call. 

A few moments later there was a knock on the door Isabella put on her slippers with excitement and went to see who it was, when she got to door she saw a delivery man, he was dressed in a suit with a huge package in his hands.

Chapter 13 : Private Jet

Louisa's colleagues looked at her and whispered "she is so brave" Louisa approached Adaora's office and walked in on Adaora crying, Louisa wanted to leave but she had a rethink she spoke "what is the matter ma you can talk to me i can help you".

Adaora ignored her then replied "help me with what i thought i told you to leave" she then picked up her phone "bring the car around" her driver immediately replied "yes ma" Adaora picked up a few things from the office and went towards the elevator, she pressed the elevator button and headed towards the office lobby.

Louisa followed her to the lobby handed her bag and left, Adaora's driver opened the door to the back seat, Adaora entered the car, her eyes were red from crying, her driver closed the door and asked "where to ma" Adaora replied "anywere but here" her driver started the engine and drove of.

Meanwhile in Ibiza, Kenny was on a beach checking out the ladies with his friends, his phone beeped, it was a text message from his mother it read "come home now your sister is missing" kenny got up from the beach chair and rung his chauffeur, when the chauffeur arrived, Kenny got into the car and placed another call "Ready the jet".

Chapter 10 : Who Is She

Isabella walked to her class with smiles on her face, she was so happy, she had finally struck gold, could he really be into me i mean he wanted to see me again she thought herself, meanwhile Maria and her friends who had seen Isabella step out of Chidi's car were wondering who she was Maria said to her friends "but Chidi has a girlfriend her name is Elsa they have been together for years now, who is this girl" her friends also wondered.

Maria immediately gave Elsa a call and told her what she had seen, Elsa was furious she said over the phone line "that stupid Chidi i am pregnant for him and he does this to me i swear if i get him" Maria immediately interrupted her and said "the stupid girl is in class now should we confront her" Elsa said "no not yet just find out who she is and were she comes from okay" with that Elsa hung up the call.

When lectures was over Isabella immediately went to wait for Chidi at the spot were he had dropped her, Isabella waited for atleast twenty minutes before he arrived, Isabella was so glad once again, she proceeded to the nice car, she opened the door, got in the car, closed the door and Chidi drove of. When they arrived Aisha's place, Chidi looked at the place with a little bit of disgust in his eyes he then said "you stay here you know what its okay i got you something" he brought out the brand new iphone he got for her, Isabella was so surprised and happy at the same time.

Chapter 12 : Discrepancy

Louisa adored Adaora so much, her designer clothes, the way she walked, infact everything about her, Louisa wished she could be Adaora anyways it was wishful thinking. 

Later that day in the office while Adaora was going through the documents she noticed something odd about the numbers, could this be true, Kenny her younger brother was on a spending spree in Ibiza, her mother had threatened to cut her of because of her excessive spending, while kenny was spending money from the Corporate accounts partying all over Ibiza.

She picked up her personal phone and dialed Kenny's number, it rang and kenny picked up and said "hello kenny on the line" Adaora was so furious she said "kenechukwu what are you doing spending money from the Corporate accounts" Kenny replied "am working on something" while staring at a girl at the beach, then he hung up.

Adaora was so annoyed, she decided to keep her composure, a slight knock on the door again it was Louisa "are you done signing the documents ma" Adaora replied in anguish "get out of my office now" Louisa was shocked what went wrong in this few minutes, on a second thought she decided to check up on her, she went back to Adaora's office.

Chapter 9 : Why Is He Nice

Chidi held Isabella while she sluggishly stood up, she dusted her dress then Chidi said "don't you recognise me" Isabella was a little bit shy she said "i don't or i should i" Chidi reminded her he said "the girl i rescued from drowing" Isabella said "wow that was you thank you so much i don't know to swim as you could tell" Chidi laughed a bit and said "its okay were are you heading too" Isabella was so glad she said "i am heading to lectures i mean class".

Chidi looked at her and smiled he said "can i take you to class so you won't be late for your lectures" could this be a dream come true Isabella thought to herself she said "yes i don't want to be late" with that they both got into the car.

When they arrived the lecture halls, Isabella was about to get down from the car when Chidi smiled and said "can i get your number" Isabella did not have a phone so she said "i don't have a phone yet i mean it got spoilt so i" Chidi interrupted her and said "its okay i want to see you again can i pick you up after lectures" Isabella was surprised she said "yes you can were should i wait for you" Chidi said "here wait for me here" with that Isabella got down from the car and headed towards her class.

Chapter 11 : Office

When Adaora arrived at her mother's office building, she headed straight to the conference room, as she walked in her high heels her hair bounced along, she was giving an office chic vibe and that was the look she was going for, she was quite early, she sat on the chair assigned to her.

Waiting for the board of directors to make there decision concerning certain matters was like piercing needles through her skin, she was so tired and she had not being their for more than three minutes but she had to put up a front.

Finally they were done, she quickly left for her office, she needed to make some changes to the space, she thought to herself, Adaora wanted to be taken seriously by her mother so she could unfreeze all her accounts and club memberships then she could go back to her normal life. Adaora's mother owned a chain of luxury hotels and resorts all over the world worth trillions of dollars they were really wealthy.

Suddenly there was a slight knock on the office door it was her personal secretary Louisa "goodmorning ma we need your signature on these recent projects" she had just arrived her office and she was already signing documents, Adaora replied "i would take a good look at all of them before i sign" Louisa replied "okay ma" she had no choice but to leave the documents on Adaora's desk.

Chapter 8 : Have We Met

Isabella woke up the next morning feeling tired, she stretched her hands and yawned a bit, she saw Aisha getting ready for lectures, Aisha said "madam goodmorning what happened to you yesterday, you came home looking like a wet dog" Isabella looked at Aisha and said "i don't want to talk about it" Aisha was unbothered she said "okay oh i am going to class" with that Aisha left for lectures.

Isabella decided to put what had happened to her aside and head to class, she thought out loud to herself "i am going to focus on my studies and forget about these rich boys" with that she went into the bathroom to have her bath, an hour later she was ready for lectures, she looked at her worn out sandals which was no good anymore and decided to wear Aisha's shoes, after she was done, she opened the door, came out, locked it and headed out to her first class.

On her way to her class which was on the main campus, she was still in thoughts as she held her course books in her hands while she walked slowly, she did not realize she was walking on the road, she almost got knocked down by a very nice car, the car stopped and Chidi got out, he quickly went towards her, held her by the shoulder and said "are you okay" Isabella looked at the handsome chidi and said "yes i am fine" she did not recognise him.

Chapter 10 : Who Are You

While Adaora was getting her beautiful long hair blow dried a not so familiar face walked into the luxurious salon, everyone looked at her like she was lost or something, one of the hairstylist walked up to her and said "this is an exclusive salon, do you have an appointment" the woman repiled "no i don't i was just walking by and i" before she could finish her sentence the hairstylist said "please you have to leave security".

To everyones surprise Adaora intervened "leave her i would pay for her hair, come sit" the hairstylist left and went to attend to another customer, Adaora was not particularly nice to people she did not know but what changed, Adaora proceeded to ask the woman her name "my name is Joanne" Adaora giggled a bit then thought to herself this woman Joanne could be part of her revenge plot.

A hairstylist immediately came to work on Joanne's hair, when she was done Joanne looked like a totally different person, Adaora looking good as always fluffed her hair a bit, looked at Joanne and gave her a compliment "you look way better" Adaora payed for Joanne's hair in cash, exchanged numbers with her and left.

Chapter 7 : Move Aside

Chidi was so surprised he said "what are you doing here" Elsa looked at him and the said "your asking me what am doing here please move aside" the door man was about to carry Elsa's bags into the condo when Chidi stopped him and said "look were are you carrying those bags too would you stand there" the door man was confused Elsa then said "Chidi leave the door man alone".

Chidi turned to Elsa and said "i ask again what are you doing here" Elsa came closer to Chidi looked into his eyes and said "i am moving in Chidi" Chidi laughed and said "your not serious you better leave here" Elsa was admiring the condo she then said "you should take me seriously i am not joking by the way i am also pregnant with your child" Chidi laughed once again to hide how shocked he was he said "you Elsa pregnant for me" Elsa nodded her head in a sarcastic manner.

Chidi then said "i need a paternity test done if not you can't stay here" Elsa replied "okay but i am still moving in" with that she sat on Chidi's expensive couch, Chidi was not having it he remembered how they broke up, he immediately walked up to Elsa grabbed her by the hand, pulled her and threw her out, he then said to the door man "you better take her with you or you loose your job" with that he shut the door.

Chapter 9 : A Changed Person

Adaora woke up the next morning feeling grumpy, the bed in the pool house was not as comfortable as the one her bedroom, she thought to herself could her day get any worse.

Adaora decided that nothing was going to upset her, she was going to prove to her mother that she could handle things but still carry out her revenge, she got out of bed went to the main house to take a shower.

The maids at the house greeted her "goodmorning ma" to their utmost surprise she replied "morning" and walked past them, they all smiled sheepishly, they thought to themselves madam's plan worked.

When Adaora entered her beautiful clean bedroom, she took of her clothes from yesterday, and hopped into the shower, while she was in the shower she thought of all the events of yesterday, who was out to get her she thought to herself.

She also had a hair appointment at the salon that morning, she would head to that, then head to her mother's office building for a meeting with the board of directors, Adaora actually had a degree in hospitality management, she could put that to good use, she wanted to prove to her mother that she was a changed person.

Her driver came around with the car and they drove to the first destination the salon, when she got to the salon she stepped out of the car and into the salon, the salon was so luxurious.

Chapter 6 : Elsa Is Here

Sergio arrived the school's garden, Isabella opened the car door and stepped out, she closed the door and Sergio drove away without even saying a word to her, it was so dark Isabella was a bit frightened so she decided to walk quickly to Aisha's place.

When she arrived Aisha's place she knocked on the door Aisha woke up she looked at the time it was some few minutes after twelve Aisha said "who is that knocking" Isabella replied "its me Isabella" Aisha immediately went to open the door, Isabella walked in, Aisha was surprised to see Isabella in damp clothes so she asked "why is my red dress damp Isabella what happened" Isabella did not answer her instead she proceeded to the room.

Aisha followed her and said "talk this girl what happened" a shivering Isabella took of the damp dress and her worn out sandals then she put on her night wear and she gently lay on the bed, Aisha said "are you okay Isabella" she still did not answer, Aisha decided not to bother her any further.

Chidi came out to the balcony of his condo with a glass of juice in his hand, he thought about the ordeal that happened at his pool party, what if that girl had drowned, suddenly there was a ding at the door, he went to open the door to his surprise he saw Elsa standing right in front of him.

Chapter 8 : No More Friends

It was a harsh male voice probably Belinda's boyfriend Mark, Mark was not a nice person he was very rude and mean to people he did not care about he spoke "yes what do you want Belinda is busy right now" Adaora could hear a light giggle in the background saying "Mark stop just tell her am not here".

Adaora was so angry she hung up the phone, even her best friend so she thought was no longer her friend, every one had deserted her especially now when she needed them, she decided to go home, what a day she was having.

When she got home, her driver opened the door as usual, her driver said "goodnight ma" Adaora did not reply, it was past 12pm, she tried to open the door but it was locked, she knocked a few times no one answered, she rung the telecom a few times still no answer. 

she then called her mother, her mother answered "yes" Adaora spoke back "the door is locked can someone come" before she could complete her sentence her mother said "kindly go back to were you are coming from" Adaora could not believe this, her mother actually meant every word she said earlier.

Adaora decided to spend the night in the pool house she proceeded to the pool house, she was not glad at all, she felt like she was being treated like an outcast, she thought to herself, maybe if she slept and woke up the next morning all this would have being a horrible nightmare.

Chapter 5 : Not Here

Chidi was able to lift her, he then placed her on the pool side and proceeded to resuscitate her, he was able to get all the water out of her lungs, Isabella coughed and coughed, everyone at the pool party clapped in mockery one of them said "wow that's my hero Chidi" and laughed, Chidi went to the m.c grabbed the microphone and said "the party is over everyone leave here now security do your job".

All the security men came running into the house were the pool party was being held and they politely sent everyone out of the premises one of the guests whispered to each other "because of that stupid girl in red i hate her" they all eventually left, meanwhile when Sergio came out of the house every one was gone he was surprised, he saw Isabella wet on a pool chair, he went to meet her.

Sergio asked a very tired and wet Isabella what happened Isabella could not talk instead she said "i want to go home oh chei what is this" she sneezed to remove water from her nose, Sergio dropped the glass and decided to take her home, when they got into the car Isabella started crying, Sergio did not comfort her, instead he started the engine.

Chapter 7 : Invitation

When she arrived at the party venue, she was a bit shocked at the amount of people, she mumbled underneath her breath once again "socialites" she then went towards the entrance, she was suddenly stopped by the security bouncers "invite please" said one of the security bouncer's, Adaora was surprised no one had ever asked her for an invite to enter a party, surely they knew who she was.

Adaora had left her invite on the vanity table in her bedroom, and it clearly stated "bring this invite with you" Adaora did not care she demanded to enter and the security bouncer said "no invite no entry" Adaora fumed inside of her she said "do you know who i am how dare you" the security bouncer most definitely shoved her aside.

While all this was going on, Mariam one of Adaora's sworn enemies walked past her and said "wow  Adaora is having the opposite of a good day" and bust into a loud laughter with her friends, Adaora was so ashamed, what was she going to do, things like this should not be happening to her.

Adaora walked quietly to her car the driver opened the back seat door and Adaora said "did i ask you to open the door" her driver was confused but still apologised "am sorry ma" she thought to herself maybe i should call Belinda, she quickly brought out her phone and dialed Belinda's number it rang and someone else picked up.

Chapter 4 : I Can't Swim

Isabella waited in the school's garden for Sergio, she waited for atleast an hour before Sergio arrived in his Mercedes G-wagon she was so excited, she opened the door and got in the car, she shivered on the drive to the pool party, Sergio said "are you cold i can turn down the a.c", Isabella immediately said "no no i am okay" while shivering, when they arrived the destination, Isabella got out of the car, she was so surprised she had never seen so many rich faces in one place before.

As they both proceeded to enter the party, they all looked at Isabella and laughed, one of the rich girl's in attendance said "who is this one and what is she wearing" Isabella had never felt so humiliated in her life she decided to keep calm, Sergio brought her a drink in an expensive glass, Isabella did not know how to hold the glass, so it fell of her hand.

Sergio laughed and said "i would get you another glass don't worry" Sergio went to get another drink for Isabella, Isabella was standing so close to the pool when someone slightly nodged her on purpose, Isabella fell into the deep end of the pool, she screamed "i can't swim help, i can't swim" she was practically drowning and the guests at the pool party did nothing they were all laughing. Then Chidi dived into pool and rescued her.
